A player from the UK scooped the highly anticipated EuroMillions Superdraw €100 million jackpot on 30 June 2017. The UK EuroMillions player will collect £87.5 million for being the only player to correctly select all five winning numbers, 17, 35, 39, 47 and 50 and Lucky Stars 6 and 8.
30 June 2017’s Superdraw was the first time someone won the jackpot on the first draw since 6 March 2015. Had the jackpot rolled over it could have potentially reached the jackpot cap of €190 million.
September 2016 brought big changes to the EuroMillions lottery and accordingly the first Superdraw of the year wasn’t until 30 September, after the changes went into effect. For the first time the starting Superdraw jackpot was €130 million! The jackpot rolled over and grew until 11 October when a Belgian player scored the entire €168 million jackpot.
2015 was a great year for Portuguese players as they won the biggest jackpots of the year. On 6 March one winning ticket matched all five numbers plus the two Lucky Stars to take home the €100 Million jackpot. There was also a winning ticket sold in the UK for the 6 June drawing. One anonymous player took home a purse of €100 Million, not bad at all.
